10th Mountain Division Association
Each year we select a military unit to honor and to benefit from the donations and race registrations. This year's honoree is the U.S. Army's 10th Mountain Division. The 10th Mountain is a Light Infantry Division of the U.S. Army that was specially organized and trained for mountain warfare. During WW2, the 10th mountain fought in the rugged mountains of Italy in some of the worst conditions of the war. In recent years, 10th Mountain Division has been one of the most rapidly deployable units in the Army and has been involved in peacekeeping and humanitarian operations after Hurricane Andrew, and later in Somalia, Haiti, and the Sinai. After the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 the 10th Mountain provided the first conventional forces to deploy to Afghanistan and since 2001 the 10th Mountain has been the most deployed division in the U.S. Army with numerous deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, and other theaters.

Clover Hill Elementary, Swift Creek Elementary, and Woolridge Elementary have joined forces and created “The Reservoir Race Series.” This event combines all three schools’ 5k runs into a race series in hopes of bringing together even more of the surrounding community - and we are inviting you to be a part of it!
